Hi Guys,

I think that for us, for me anyway, play with a great bass player is very important, I'm fortunate to play with some of the greatest in world like ?tienne Mbapp?, Michel Alibo or Linley marthe...
But I would like to give you some name of Guys with who I would like to play.

- Jimmy Johnson, he's really incredible !!!
With Holdsworth or James Taylor is always amazing, what musician, what tempo !!!

- Eric Revis, he plays with Branford Marsalis, and with "Tain" on drums the groove is really great, it must be very comfortable to play with him.

- Patitucci, I like this Guy, electric or acoustic bass he's an alien !!!

- Verdine White from EWF, no words, so amazing...
He's awesome !!!

+ John Pena, Darryl Jones, Anthony Jackson, Bob Hurst, Aston "Family Man" Barret, Sting, Norwood Fisher, Victor Bailey, Lonnie Marshall, Christian McBride, Marcus Miller, Mike Porcaro, Nathan Watts, Will Lee and many other great, but I stop here...

Favorite "known" bassist would be Michael Manring.

Unknown is Chris Golden here in Los Angeles. Probably my favorite player overall.

Also, Cristy Michel who's in my current rock project is really really great. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Two bass players that are amazing are Nathan East and Rufus Reid.

Nathan played with Clapton for a little, and is now doing a project with Harvey Mason!

Rufus is the man. He plays everywhere. I had the chance to hang with him at the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Workshop this past summer. (john riley was there too!!!)

Tim Landers
Victor Wooten
(not a big fan of Victor Bailey, though...)

Tom Kennedy might have to be my favorite...he plays so effortlessly....you just get the sense that there are no physical or mental obstructions to him playing whatever ideas pop into his head.

Agree about Marcus Miller and Anthony Jackson.

EDIT: Almost forgot about the Tooch-meister...another of my favorites!

Nate still plays with Clapton, both live and on recordings. Nice guy, great player.

As a bassist, I have to say that Lee Sklar is my fave. He does everything that I aspire to do with regard to support and groove.

My best music buddy Brad Bischoff, a great unknown bass player, overshadowed by his great guitar work.

Isaac Dominquez, with a group formerly known as 180? This guy is FUNKY! I used to love playing with him.

Tom Kennedy, Matt Bissonette and Victor Wooten. These are my picks for known guys wit skeeellzzz.

I heard two weeks ago that Sixun could come back on the music scene, It will be great but really not easy...

We'll see.

But yeah, play with Alibo is really great, I'm lucky !!!
